BANGOR–Bangor High’s Unified Basketball team hosts Brewer this Wednesday, at 3:30, and any Bangor student who attends will enter for free and get a voucher for the Bangor Boosters concessions.

Unified Basketball, according to the Maine Principals’ Association, partners students with developmental disabilities (Unified Student-Athlete) with students without developmental disabilities (Unified Student Partners) to train, compete, and represent their school.

At Wednesday’s matchup, Bangor’s Unified Basketball team will play in the Red Barry Gymnasium against crosstown rival, Brewer. For one-night only, Principal Butler will serve as the game’s announcer. The game’s theme is “Fill the Barry,” which means wearing red and white to support Bangor’s team.

Attendees can expect PE Leadership to run the student cheer section and the Bangor High School Pep Band to perform.
